*Our legislature at the central level is called Sansad or Parliament.

*The president,the Lok sabha and the Rajya sabha form the Parliament.

*Parliament as it is Bicameral ,has two Houses.the upper house is called the Rajya sabha or Council of states.The lower house is called the Lokshaba or the house of people.

*British Parliament aslo known as Mother of Parliament.

*The Indian parliament building was designed by Edward Lutins.

*Parliament Museum located in the Parliament librarary building in New Delhi,the Museum was inaugurated on 14 Augst 2006.

*A bill is a draft legislative proposal before the house,It becomes an act only when passed by both House of Parliament and assented to by the President.

*The time immdiately following the Question hour and laying of paper and before any listed bussiness is taken up in the House has come to be popularly known as the 'Zero Hours'.As it starts around 12 Noon,this Period is euphemistically termed as 'zero hour'.the term 'Zero Hour'is not formally recognised  in our parliamentary procedure.
